Proco Services Water

HVAC

With Proco Services’ technology for hot tapping and line stopping of pressurized piping systems, maintenance of HVAC systems can be carried out without inconvenient disruptions for customers or systems. Our technicians have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems in various environments, and our tools are adapted to different media such as water, air, and gas.

Via built-in valves in our line stopping tools, the flow can easily be bypassed around the maintenance area, allowing maintenance to be performed completely without interruption and without negative environmental impact.

Using our technology, repairs to, for example, substations in residential buildings can be carried out without loss of heat for residents, or maintenance of water and gas lines in hospital environments can be performed without affecting operations.

Installation of valves at Skaraborg Hospital in Skövde
When Skaraborg Hospital needed to reduce vulnerability in its cold water supply, an uninterrupted installation of a large number of valves was required. Our line stopping service with bypass technology made the installation possible without affecting operations.

Skaraborg Hospital has approximately 400 beds, including specialist care, maternity, and delivery wards. An interruption in operations could therefore have serious consequences.

To make operations less vulnerable, the hospital’s cold water needed to be sectioned in the event of external impact. A need for the installation of 56 section valves across eight floors was identified, and a prerequisite for the work was that the supply of cold water to the hospital’s departments must not be affected.

To successfully reroute the cold water and install all valves without impacting operations, Proco Services was contracted. Using our line stopping technology with a bypass function, we were able to both stop the flow in the relevant pipes and simultaneously reroute the incoming cold water.
