In Kristianstad’s Stora Torg, a fountain had over time probably caused a district heating chamber under the square to be water filled. Safe maintenance without operational interruptions was no longer possible and a plan was established for removal of the entire chamber. Proco Services was contacted to assist in the work by both blocking the pipes around the chamber and connecting bypass lines for continued supply of heat and hot water to the central parts of Kristianstad.
After very good planning together with C4 Energi, Proco Services implemented 6 line stoppings of size DN250 to DN400 and connection of bypass lines. Thereafter, safe maintenance could be started, including the removal of the 29ton heavy chamber. The entire work could be carried out without emptying the system and without interruptions for Kristianstad’s district heating customers. Watch our movie:
