Line stopping

We perform line stopping on pressurized pipelines which enables easy and cost-effective maintenance.

Advantages of Line Stopping

– Reduces costs significantly compared to traditional methods
– Saves time in the repair and maintenance work
– Eliminates harmful emissions and pipe damage due to depressurization
– Protects distribution to customers, including hospital and industrial environments

Technical Features

– Size pipe DN10 – DN800
– Temperature -10 to +120 °C
– Pressure max 24 bar

Type of pipes

Cast iron, ductile iron, steel, stainless, copper, PE, concrete etc.

Type of substance

Water, hot water, steam, compressed air, gas, lye, sludge, glycol, alkalis, oils etc.

Process

A sleeve coupling is welded or screwed with band clamp on the pipe to be drilled or blocked. A closure valve is then mounted

… and then a drilling rig with a drive equipment, such as an electric motor or a pneumatic motor. The pipe is now prepared for drilling. We close the valve and and release the drilling rig.

The blocking tool is then mounted on the valve. A so-called blocking body is pushed out through the valve into the pipe, the body expands and the flow is turned off. The system is now prepared for the client’s maintenance.

When the customer’s work is finished we release the flow again, pulls out the blocking tool and closes the valve. We conclude with closing the sleeve coupling by installing a plug into it and remove the closure valve

... and secures the closure of the sleeve with a suitable method
